Jeff Burke's love for plants started at a very young age, 5 years old to be exact. His father was transferred from Corpus Christi to Caracas, Venezuela at that time. Jeff's love from plants came from his father as he had a huge greenhouse with plants such as orchids, palm trees, bird of paradise and several other varieties of plants found in the jungles of South America. During Jeff's dad's vacation times they would travel the country going into the amazon, jungles, and the rain forest to view and enjoy nature. This was the type of inspiration the led Jeff to become the landscaper for your next project.

At 21 years old Jeff started working in the landscaping business. He worked in West Houston, Spring, Conroe Areas near the 1960 / Champion Forest Areas working for US Homes, Pulte Homes, and General Homes in the late 70s and 80s doing builder commercial landscaping.

Jeff noticed that there was a landscaping company that needed a landscape foreman. He worked for Metro National Corporation. They landscaped Memorial City Shopping Center and Hospital as well as Spring Shadows Glen, esplanade work, retirement centers and other investments of Metro National Corporation. Jeff worked as a foreman to an in house landscaping company. During his employment they won several awards from the City of Houston under then Mayor Kathy Whitmire. They won the Grand Martial Award among many other awards and was featured in Grounds Magazine.

After working at Metro National Corporation for a while, Jeff started his own landscaping company and got married. They Budget Landscaping Company in Kemah, Texas in 1992. Along with many other jobs, Budget Landscaping did projects for the Kemah Boardwalk, City of Dickinson, city of Texas City, Bolivar Fairy, Galveston Daily News, Clear Lake Honda Dealership, as well as several banks in Galveston and Brizoria Counties including Texas First Bank.
